hole in door?

How do you fix a football-sized hole in a six panel door?
I got the hole by slamming the door to hard, but don't want to buy a new door. The hole is at the bottom of the door. How would you fix it?

What is the door made of?
Is the hole in the bottom cross piece or in the bottom panel?
How's your foot?

kd,

Depends.

Can you post a pic or three?

I cannot post a picture; however, I think the door is a hollow core door.

Hmmmm.....a football-szed hole in a hollow core 6 panel door...

I would either use some Gorilla Glue to glue a football into the hole, or just buy a new door.

For less than $150 you could replace it with a new steel door. Anything you do to repair a hollow core door and make it look right would cost you more than that in time and material. You could also check for construction salvge shops for a used door.

Pro ball, of course. Go Bears.

Great game yesterday, unless you happen to be a cheesehead.

Not a cheese head. ;)

Kinda have a warm spot for da Bears since Izzy # 71 on defence is more or less a home town boy.:)
