high well iron and magnesium problems

Other Question:High iron in second new drilled well Full Description:We own a house built in the 1940's, the original well was pulling up sand, spent thousands on a new drilled well and had to abandon it due to ecoli contamination still present after 5 Chlorinations.Town, county and state said they never heard of this. Spent several thousands again and had another well drilled, new well has iron 15 ppm and Magnesium reading of .063. Told again this is so rare!! Our water softning system is currently taking out 13 ppm and is only rated for 10ppm, backwashing everyday,I am sure it will not last long. We are financially strained now and do not know how to solve our problem. Have heard of many different solutions. We want to make the right choice as all of these systems are very expensive. What do you suggest? E-mail Address:[email protected]
