Heating options

I had a 12x20 two story attached addition built behind my garage. The second story is going to be a master bath. Any suggestions on how to heat the 1st floor addition and garage so that the plumbing pipes don't freeze. I'm in Ohio and would only want to keep it above freezing. The addition is going to be fully insulated.

It's often most economical to extend the existing type of heat into the new addition---what kind of heat do you have now????? gas-fired forced hot air, gas-fired hot water, oil-fired air or hw, radiant electric, steam??????

It is not permitted to extend the heating to the garage area. I have gas forced air heat. So I was looking for input on economical add ons.

To heat water pipes only you can use heating cables.

To heat the addition, bring gas (from your meter or gas source) and install a wall furnace (Williams).
