Hanging drywall on a long narrow ceiling

I am finishing the room above my garage. The room has a knee wall and then a 45 deg slope to the ceiling. Consequently, the ceiling is fairly narrow. It ends up being slightly less than the width of 2 sheets of drywall. Side by side, i would use a full 4' wide and a cut 3' wide piece. should i altnerate which side of the ceiling i put the cut piece, or is it okay to have the one long seam down the length of the room. I want to note that these sheets are running perpendicular to the roof trusses.

There is no reason to alternate sides. One long seam will be easier to tape and blend.

Sweet, thanks. By the way, your quote is awesome.
