Halfbath to laundry room

I'm thinking of turning a halfbath approx. 4'x4' into a laundry room(closet). It seems there is all the piping needed and all I would need to do is to add the proper electric for the dryer. Are there issues with this type of convertion?

Thanks for your help.

Re: Halfbath to laundry room

I would suspect you would use the plumbing from the sink ----Just make sure you have at least 1 1/2 inch drain line for the washer.

The toilet drain will need to be properly capped.
However, you maybe required by code to have a floor drain for your laundry room . Depending on your local code you may need a 1 1/2 or 2 inch in which case you can install a reducer and "P " trap and convert the toilet drain.

Just a thought.
