Gutter Downspout Chains

I have a couple of spots with my gutters that continue to hold water long after the rainfall ends. Since the both areas are near the end of a run, I am considering putting up chains as substitute downspout to allow this extra water to run out of the gutter. Is there a special way to install this setup, or would you simply drill a hole in the bottom of the gutter, and attach the strand of chain for the water to follow to the ground? :)

Howdy i just cut hole installed light chain. Be fore warned the water will splash house and drain right next to the foundation- you may not want these. Water freezing on chain way cool in winter / spring
