Step by Step ProjectsTips from the ProsAffordable Remodel
We just moved into a home built in 2014. We have three or four GFI circuit breakers in the panel box that keep tripping: if we run the vacuum cleaner, turn on a light or some times for no reason. Any suggestions?
Capacitor controlled motors and arching switches can cause GFCI's to trip, especially older model breakers. You can try replacing the breakers with different model.
I recommend replacing one (most problematic) GFI breaker with a new unit and see what happens. While the panel is open re-tighten all the electrical connections including the mains and neutrals.
