I was reluctant to use cat food for bait because I figured I'd end up catching a lot of cats (especially when I live in the city). For my skunk problem, I borrowed a cage and they told me to spread some peanut butter on a piece of bread. By the second night of having the trap out, I caught my first skunk. The next night I had my second. Worked like a charm for me!
