We are building a house in Maryland and like the idea of low cost and efficiency that a geothermal promises. We would also like the geothermal heat pump to fuel a water-to-water radiant system. Being from California, I am wondering if such a system will keep me warm and be cost efficient when it's 32 degrees outside? FYI, using a traditional heat pump, I like the temperature at about 75 degrees.
I have also read other members comments about potential trouble with the geothermal. Can someone tell me about the most common problems? For example, someone mentioned that the room over the garage may continue to be cold in a two-zone two-story house.
