Garage Finishing

I am going to finish out my garage into a game room, but according to city code I cannot remove my garage door. I plan on securing the door to the concrete with anchor bolts, but do you guys have any suggestions on building a wall that will be energy efficient in stopping heat and cold?

Re: Garage Finishing

Why not frame it out and insulate before you drywall?
If the door has windows, you may want to frost them before you do that so you aren't looking at insulation through them.
My old art studio was in a garage, and since I needed to roll the door up to push the kiln outside when I fired it, I just used 2 inch thick rigid blue insulation foam cut to size and pressed it into the panels. It wasn't perfect, but I didn't need to glue it and I could still use the door.
