Gap between wood floor and brick wall.

Hi all;

I exposed an older brick wall behind cement and plaster in my bedroom in Hell's Kitchen (Manhattan). Its ugly construction brick but i am going to paint it. The old plaster was pulling away from the brick so i chisel hammered the wall down. I think it will make for a cool mini photography studio. Since i tore out the old kick molding and the 2x4 that it was mounted to on the brick, there is a nice fat gap of about an inch between the tongue in groove floor strips and the brick. Its about an inch deep as well. I dont have any woodworking shop or skills to rip a narrow piece of wood to fill the gap. I was thinking that maybe i can use some kind of cement or floor patch to simply fill the gap, then paint to match the floor color as best I can. I would like to have a clean transition so no more molding for that wall. If you folks have any suggestions i would really appreciate it. Pay no mind to the foam gap filler, ill be cutting that away.

Thank you,

Gary
