I have an amana furnace that was installed in 1998. When I moved in 5 years ago, I replace the old thermostat with a programable one.
Two years ago, the furnace blower would start but the furnace would not kick in. I replaced the igniter but there were still times it would not work. A repair person showed me how to rest a switch in side.
This year, the furnace will kick in a go to the set temperature and kick out. However, the blower will continue to run, blowing cold air for several minutes.
A few (approm. 5-7) minutes later, the furnace will kick back in again. I have also needed to reset the switch on several occations.
The repair person says that the pipes are too small for the furnace. Is this possible?
