FUBAR - Removing GE Silicone Caulk Windows & Doors

I pulled a bit of a bonehead move. I used the silicone caulk for installing my replacement window for the interior finish bead work. Well, I am now looking at caulking that can not be painted. I know there will be a bit of scraping to remove it. Does anyone have any other ideas on how to remove the silicone? The silicone has been in place for about 2 weeks.

A slight challenge is the caulking abuts the vinyl replacement window. If there is a liquid solution to loosen the caulk, I do not want to discolor the vinyl windows.

Any help would be appreciated...

Before you scrap, I saw an article or suggestion in a magazine that said that if you have silicon caulk and you want to paint, first paint it with sanding sealer and then the paint will hold. I have never tried it but you might want to give it a go and report back if it works.
