free software for beam and post load calculations

Anyone know of easy to use, and free, software for figuring out how much load there is on a beam or post in a certain config? I've seen some stuff out there, but it asks questions like what the "maximum bending moment" will be. I know these are made for structural engineers, but darn it, isn't there a tool out there that uses reasonable default values for live load and static load to help a contractor figure out what beam to use?

If you are a licensed contractor you might try here http://www.bluelinxco.com/OurProducts/EngLumber-DesignSoft.asp
