In-floor radiant heat is an excellent way to stay warm and dry. I designed and installed radiant heat in a 24 by 40 studio workshop using a water heater for a heat source. A 35,000BTU water will heat the shop to a nice comfortable 60 degrees even on days when it is below zero out doors. When I went to do the installation I could not find any good material with the kind of information I needed to get started.
I solved that problem by taking many pictures of the process and drawing schematics of the design, putting together a Do-It-Yourself In-Floor Radiant Heat Installation Guide. For more information about how to use a hot water heater for a heat source go to :)
