Hi! I am remodeling a bathroom in a doublewide mobile home. As usual, the wrapping under the home has deteriorated, and has quite a few places where the fiberglass insulation has fallen out completely and you can see the ground beneath. I am asking if using 2" foam board as insulation between the joists instead of roll fiberglass insulation is ok. Would I need to install chicken wire or some type of screen below to support foam board? I am thinking of sealing the edges where the rigid foam meets the joists with spray foam. The joists are 5 1/2" deep, and have 1/2" cpvc water pipes within. The ac vents (beneath the joists) are uninsulated as well, and will have to be wrapped with some type of thermal tape. Any advice you can give me will be met with respect for someone who knows more about this than me.
