Fieldstone Foundation Leaking

Good afternoon.

I own a home that was built in 1870. It has a fieldstone foundation and for the most part is in really good shape. However, I do have one area of the foundation wall that has 3 or 4 small leaks when it rains.

Can I clean and fill these holes with a mortar or cement? I have read on the internet that people have had success using hydraulic cement? Is this a good solution or would the expansion of the cement create additional issue for the surrounding stones?

Any advice you could provide as a way to remedy this problem would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
