Exterior sanding grit

I am in the process of scraping and sanding. At the moment I am using a 100 grit. I am affraid that my edges will show even after fethering them. Should i drop the grit lower and resand?

Re: Exterior sanding grit

You are sanding the exterior of your house? What type of wood is the siding?
I recently stripped 88 years of paint from my cedar siding (using the silent paint remover) and then sanded with 40 grit using an orbital sander, to smooth out the cedar. I then painted- no obvious signs of marks in the wood after that. I initially tried 80 grit sandpaper but had to use twice as much for twice the time.
