I have a need for an energy recovery ventilator to bring fresh air into an excessively tight house (the problem is posted in the 'Green' forum as "How to ruin your indoor air quality").
I understand the basic operation of these ERV units: exchanging heat from exhausted indoor air to the inbound fresh air while recovering some portion of the humidity from the exhaust air.
However, I live in a cooling climate (TX) that is extremely humid. Does an ERV have the capability to remove moisture from inbound air under these conditions? None of the manufacturers have been very helpful.
Does anyone have any experience with these units?
