Enclosing under a patio

I have a covered front porch that is made with a composite material about 32 inches off the ground. I have lattice around the bottom now, and am wondering if it is possible to remove the lattice and replace it with brick to match the exterior of the home. I would spread ground fabric and stone underneath to disappate moisture concerns, and the masons would install two vents. Is this enough to alleviate concerns about moisture from below affecting the decking? Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Re: Enclosing under a patio

sounds like a good plan to me, the vents should do just fine. the only thing i'd recommend is to leave a way to access the space if needed

Re: Enclosing under a patio

Sounds good to me also, just remember to put the vents on opposite walls so you have a natural air flow. I also agree with MLBSF make sure you have an access panel.

Re: Enclosing under a patio

Thanks for the input. The vents will be on opposite sides, so airflow should be good. I did not think about access though, i'll have to give that some thought and talk to the masons.
