Electric floor heat

I'm brand new to this forum and was wondering if the subject of electric floor heat has been discussed here?

pgc555,

Just as temperatures are starting to reach 100, you bring up the subject of floor heating?

Just kidding, it's never too late or too early to plan for next winter.

Re: Electric floor heat

I like to use SLU in all of my floor heat installs and was wondering how many others do the same.

Re: Electric floor heat

We plan on using SLC over Laticrete's electric floor heat tomorrow. It works well.

Re: Electric floor heat

I will assume the obvious, you will be installing on concrete, right?
What type of perimeter "dam" do you use to prevent the SLU from escaping and going under the drywall tight to the sill plate?

Re: Electric floor heat

Since this is a 1935 wood framed pier and beam house we used foam inna can to seal the gaps around the perimeter. It does double duty for the SLC
