Duel zone heating

I have two furnaces one for the first floor and one for the second floor. What is the optimal temperature differential between the lower floor and the upper floor?

Re: Duel zone heating

What do you feel is comfortable?
The units should operate to the set point that you set.
If not the TSATS'are out of calibration or he heat antisipator's aren't set correctly which is done by taking the amp draw of the transformer of the given furnace the Tstat is wired to.
Or the units air flow isn't balanced.

Actually my question is more basic than that. Should I set the programmable thermostats at the same temperature say 65 degrees or should I set the lower zone at 65 and the upper unit at 60 since heat rises. Never had a duel zone or duel furnaces and trying to be the most efficient.

Jguy ... sure that sounds like a plan.
As previously mentioned it's all personal comfort and preference ... there will be some playing around with the temps until you feel comfortable.

Hope this helps.:)
