Dual flush vs. ultra-low flush

We are researching a replacement toilet for our only (quite small) bathroom, on the 2nd floor of our 1914 Craftsman-cottage home. Plumbing is in floor, bath shares wall with bedroom, drains to street need to be routed about every 12-15 months for tree roots, water/sewer charges going up yearly. We are considering either a Mansfield EcoQuantam dual-flush (noise concern: pressure assist) or a Toto EcoDrake ultra-low flush(drain concern: pressure assist EcoQuantam supposedly recommended for older homes). Price is right for both. Father and son will be doing intallation. Other concerns include solid waste evacuation/problems with clogging, increased need for bowl cleaning, splashing, DIY repair-friendliness. Any recommendations/experiences with either appreciated.

Re: Dual flush vs. ultra-low flush

I don't have an answer, but I'd love to read any responses. I was researching dual-flush toilets for our home too.
