Drywall brands?

Is there any differences among brands of drywall? I'm going to be replacing (or covering) some old dry wall and was wondering if I should look for a particular brand. I don't need waterproof or fire resistant drywall, but if there are any quality differences, I'd like to know.

thanks

Buy whatever your nearest dealer stocks - they all made to meet the same standards, AS LONG AS THEY ARE MADE IN USA.

If it says "made in China" walk away.

Since the time of Katrina where the Chinese drywall was discovered to be bad, they are checking it much more closely so it should be OK, but I agree- stay with US-made; it has a far better and longer track record. Check the boards directly- American company names do go onto imported products but each must be labeled with country of origin.
