DIY: Hangers for attachments

Hey folks! This is my first post to TOH. I hope this helps someone else out there.

The other weekend, I was doing some cleanup around my garage, and figured out how to make easy hangers for attchments for my Craftsman trimmer. Over the years, I have collected about 5 of these tools and they are alway at risk of getting stepped on. Using some scrap parts that I have laying around, I finally got them off the floor under my workbench! (now I just need to actually clean the workbench).

Anyway, i set up the iPhone and made one of those dreadful-looking youtube DIYs in case anyone else wants to make some hangers for themselves.

I've been using long handled tool racks single and double to hang a leaf blower and a weed wacker. The only DIY part is making sure they are properly secured to handle the weight.

Pretty neat idea. But why not drill a hole through the handle of the tool and then install the string?

Why not just take a loop of rope and do a cow hitch (larks head )

The ring would be the tool handle, the other end of the looped rope would hang on whatever pointy thing you had sticking out of the wall.
