Disguising gussets on exposed trusses??

We just put in 4 consecutive skylights in our living room with the plan to keep the roof trusses between them exposed to give the room a "vaulted ceiling" appearance. However, it turns out that there are some large and ugly plywood gussets that cannot be removed. How can we disguise them so that they're not an eye sore if we follow thru with the plan to leave the space between the skylights open? Thanks for your suggestions!

Box the trusses with 1/4" stain grade plywood or wrap with 1/2" drywall.
