Dark exterior trim?
arlington15

I have a red brick 1937 Cape in the mid-Atlantic. It currently has a white trim, gutter and window color scheme. I am thinking about changing this to a black, bronze, or dark grey color scheme, keeping the red brick unpainted. Gutters and windows seem to be no problem in terms of dark color availability. However, with any type of PVC trim, it appears that LRVs below 55 void the warranty and are not recommended. How does one go about achieving the dark trim look that seems more and more popular these days? What am I missing? None of the three roofing/siding companies I have spoken to have an answer to this question.

More popular for trim? - Not In my area.

How about getting some advice at your local paint store (B Moore, S Williams, Dunn Edwards, etc.). They probably keep up with the new trends.
