Crawl space & hvac insulation

I put insulation inbetween the crawl space joist. I also did some insulation on HVAC pipes. I'm installing the vapor barrier but I still have allot of condensation from the AC pipes. What should I do to reduce the moisture besides installing a dehumidifier?

Re: Crawl space & hvac insulation

Any cold surface in a damp environment, such as a crawl space, is going to get condensation on it, often to the point of dripping. You have to wrap any cold surface to keep the moist air from making contact with those surfaces.

If the crawl space is well ventilated, it is really not much of a problem, The moisture is already down there, it is just condensing in one spot. It is not adding any net moisture, except , perhaps concentrating it where it might be dripping.
