Cracked plaster ceilings and walls

Anyone have any experience using "Nu-Wal", an advertiser in TOH magazine? I have purchased an older home with plaster ceilings and walls and have some "TLC" items to complete; one of which is repairing some cracks in the plaster. Any other input or experiences appreciated... Thanks in advance!

Re: Cracked plaster ceilings and walls

While I have no direct experience with the Nu Wall system,
I did go to their website and read what they have to say.

It sounds good, and they claim that past major repairs have
not shown any defects after many years. I do think that is
a tall claim, however. But I have no experience to oppose
to it.

This is a fairly expensive way to deal with a few plaster
cracks, in my view. You can usually get pretty good results
using drywall finishing materials, if you do it right.
I have been doing this for paying clients for over 30 years.

I have a site with lots of free information for the DIY
homeowner who wants to fix his own plaster and save money.
Maybe you can find what you need there?
