What is the best way to remove glue from a concrete patio and can it be sanded before staining

How did the glue get there?

You can not sand glue. It will gum up the sand paper immediately. If it is water soluable you can mop it up with hot water and a mop. If it is not water soluable you will have to use a paint remover or a heat gun and sc****r.

Try Concrete and Masonry Cleaner/Etcher.

Agreed. Many concrete cleaners will help loosen many glues. Big box. If you don't have a big box near you, try the web.
