clogged shower drain

My shower drain is clogged and I've used several solvents trying to unclog it with no success. I recently had the bathroom remodeled and I'm wondering if a tile fell down the drain. I don't think so because they had the drain covered when they were doing the work, however if it was just hair I believe what I did should have cleared it. I even used Nair which had worked once before. How would I remove it if it is a tile or grout or is it time for a professional plumber? I'm afraid if I use a rooter is will just move the problem farther down the drain pipe.

Re: clogged shower drain

You need to call a plumber. There are a host of possibilities for you and most require equipment you don't want to monkey around with.
