I have a porcelain-coated grab bar in my bath tub. Pieces have chipped off. Can I re-paint/re-coat those areas or do I need to get a new grab bar? If it can be re-painted or re-coated, what kind of paint/coating should I use?
Once you build up the divot, break out the 220-grit sandpaper again. Sand the area with a light swirling motion being very careful around the edges to avoid scratching the surrounding surface.

home depot sells porcelain touch up kits.
And they work great. It won't be a perfect match, but it will blend the chip in nicely. Great for chipped sinks too. :cool:
