I have some recessed lights in a room that are controlled by a dimmer switch. When the lights are dimmed low and there is a jump in electrical use (furnace kicks on, air conditioner kicks on, etc.), the lights turn completely off, or sometimes go the other way and get brighter.
Is there anything that I can do about this? Perhaps buy some better dimmer switches to better handle these surges? I assume that the current ones are are very basic, cheap ones.
