Ceramic Tile

In my shower I have a stubborn leak. I have both a hot water and cold water faucets. I have not yet determined witch one is leaking. I have removed the handle and escutchen. The entire shower is tiled with ceramic tile. This is was a house that was built in the late 1940's. To my suprise there is no room for me to get a deep socket wrench to reach the packing nut to unscrew the stems of either of the faucets, because the ceramic tile was installed up to the stem opening. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove the corners of the ceramic tiles without removing the whole tile?

Re: Ceramic Tile

my husband suggested a dremel but he doesn't specify what head or bit to use.

My suggestion would be to drill holes in the tile in a cirle where you can chip out the center kinda like making perforations in paper. Good luck

you might even try prying out that tile then re-seating it in grout and mortar.
