I recently bought a house, and there were some issues where water was getting in between the sill plate and foundation. The builder caulked the bottom of the vinyl siding to the foundation and drilled holes in the bottom of the trim to allow water to drain out. This solved the water issue. However, I'm worried that there will not be enough ventilation for water that gets behind the siding, potentially causing issues with wood rot.
Will this be a future problem? Or am I worried for nothing?
