Carpet to tile transition - can you do this after floors are installed?
Kate

We had a major house flood this spring that meant gutting the master bathroom and part of the master bedroom, and just finally got all of the repairs done. Unfortunately the tile and carpet installers seem to have done a rushed job, and didn't bother to install transition pieces between the bedroom carpet and the bathroom tile. This is driving us crazy, so can we install a threshold transition piece now, either a track with a vinyl strip or a z bar? It seems like it's certainly possible -- pull up a bit of the carpet, install the track, push the carpet back on the tack strip -- but it is a good idea or could it cause more problems?
