bathtub

My bathtub drains VERY slowly (overnight to lose a gallon or two of water)
Removed and re-inserted the stop valve, no change.
Ideas (please), Thanks

Re: bathtub

Your Drain pipe is most likely almost all plugged up. You can snake your bathtub drain by removing the overflow grate and running a snake down the overflow into the drain pipe. You can rent a small snake and do it yourself for about $25.00. If you call a drain cleaner it will cost between $80 and $140 to get it done. After you snake it and you are sure that the water drains, fill the bathtub partly full with hot water and let it out. The volume will scour the pipe. Hair is the most likely culprit with slow running pipes.
