Bathroom vanity over baseboard heating??

My husband and I are looking to remodel our bathroom and we are looking to install a new vanity/sink. Our current sink is precariously wall mounted and looks like it could fall off of the wall at any moment. The wall in which the plumbing is run is the same wall where the baseboard hot water runs. The baseboard heating run is 54in. long and the vanity we would like to install over it is 30in. We are capable of carving out the back of the vanity so that the baseboard runs through it, my real question is, is this going to be safe? I have heard that hot water heating does not get as hot as electrical, but I'm worried all the heat inside the vanity is going to be a hazard. I'm not too worried about not getting any heat into the bathroom because there will be exposed heater on either side of the vanity. Anyone have any experience or idea about this??

Is your bathroom small? If so, you might look at a ceiling-mounted heater instead of the baseboard hot water. They have heater/fan/light combos also.
