Bathroom Fan Wiring
Mehsin

I have recently replaced the exhuast fan in my bathroom.  The old unit was a fan only model and so is the new one.  I forgot to take a picture of the wiring before replacing the fan.  I am having trouble wiring as their are two set of wires coming in.  I believe the first set is coming from the switch into the bathroom fan housing.  The second set leaves the housing and goes into the bedroom and provide power their.  I dont understand how the two sets of wires go together with the three wires from the bathroom exhuast fan.  I have attached a crudely drawn diagram.  Thanks.

Guessing- you have a switch cable and a house poer cable. I'm guessing you have the power off. Wth the switch closed the white and black wire should show continuity on the switch cable and open when the switch is off.

Switch white (marked black) to house black, Switch Black to Fan  Black, Fan white  to house white, all greens tied togeather.
