Bathroom Counter

I am making a bathroom counter for a vessel bowl style sink out of oak plywood edged with solid oak. I am looking for a durable finish to put on the oak after it is stained. TIA Rob><>

Wood in a wet environment like that is a bad idea, especially plywood. If you want a wood top, then laminate up solid stock like a butcher block. As for a finish, I'd go with a McKloski's polyurethane. Stay away from Minwax finish coat products, they are horrible in every way imaginable. Their stains are fine.

What Spruce said is on the money. You can not seal it well enough and will be a maintenance nightmare. If you want a wood look with a sink, use laminate, not butcher block, Formica. Many choices and will stay looking good for a long time.
