Basement Waterproofing

We have water coming into our basement during heavy rain. 100+ year old house with a brick foundation.

We got an estimate of $19,000 from EverDry of Illinois for their "multi-step" process. Just wondering if anyone has ever worked with them and whether they thought it was worth it?

Thanks,

Re: Basement Waterproofing

What does the quote discribe is to be completed ? will it include exterior repairs ? What materials will be used ? A 100 year old house may have materials that are not compatable with todays materials. You need to do a lot of research on old homes. Thr the local historical society , the National Park Service , also rearch the U.S. Department of the Interior Preservation Briefs. & check with some Architect ? Engineer that has a back ground in Historical repairs you may save some $$$$.
