I need to repair a leak in a basement wall in a 50 year old house in Baltimore. Hydraulic cement manufacturers suggest a dovetail type slot be cut for the best results. What is the favored way to achieve this for an interior space? The best suggestion I have heard to date is to use a circular saw with a diamond blade.
The other option appears to be injecting epoxy or polyurethane. The downside here appears to be the need to order the stuff as opposed to picking it up at the nearest home improvement center.
Has anyone had favorable or unfavorable results with either of these methods?
