Basement Flooding Problem

For the past week or so, ten or more North Georgia counties have experienced massive flooding. My basement has concrete block walls and a dirt floor. The rain entered my basement and settled on the lower end. I believe, there was at least 12 inches of water a few days ago. The best I can tell, the water is entering at the upper end of the basement. I have never had a problem with water in the basement until now. A few items were damaged and will need to be thrown away. I plan to remove the dirt from the outside of the house and buy a sealer and apply it to the corner of the house to stop the water from entering the basement. I have three fans blowing to keep the air circulating to prevent an odor. Do you have any advice concerning a sealer you have used in the past? Thank you for your advice.
