baseboard heat help

my house is equipped with all baseboard heat radiator. the solid kind that comes in small sections attached together. In my sun room there is a long baseboard heater(many sections attached together), I just put up a wall to divide the room in 2 so I need to break up the baseboard in 2 long pieces and use copper tube to connect them.

When I broke them up in 2 pieces at the join by removing the nut/bolt. I saw 2 1" holes one on the top and one on the bottom of the baseboard. I would like to know how to connect those opening to copper tubes. If anyone know if I have to thread those opening and use male adaptor?
Thanks in advance
