our new sunroom with 12' vaulted ceiling and tile floor has strong echo noise. suggestions

The only way to solve the problem is to place sound absorbant materials in the space. Carpet, furniture, a couple of big potted plant, wall tapestries, etc. You could place some absorbant panels on the ceiling. Companies sell panels or you could make fabric wrapped panels secured to the ceiling.

Thanks for the site... when building the room the acoustic problem never entered my plans, but ceiling ht.,tile,and large windows seem to be "echoing" my problem. guess i will lose the battle with my wife putting a rug to cover the beautiful tile. Humbling thinking i thought of everything. thanks again.
