Attic floor

I want to turn my attic into a play room for the kids. But am affraid the floor might fall in. because it sag's when i walk on it. please help

Re: Attic floor

Depends on how the house was constructed.

In several situations the framing of the ceiling joists ( the floor of the attic) can simply be 2x4 or 2x6 members.

These are sized to only carry the weight of the ceiling for the living space below and not intended to carry the weight of a living space above.... let alone having a play room having kids jumping around.

Depending on the layout and construction some larger dimension joists will have likely be needed.
These may be simply sistered to the existing joists ... depends.

Hope this helps.:)
