Antique brass sink drain

I have an antique brass sink drain that came with my antique soapstone sink (I'd really like to use it). The thread is larger than 1.25 inches but smaller than 1.5 inches. Is there a coupling I can use to attach this to my 1.5 inch PVC drain pipe? Maybe a no-hub fitting? Thanks for any insight/advice.

Back in the day, a 1 3/8 inch drain size was not uncommon- it's found on a lot of old claw-foot tubs. You can get slip rings to adapt these into today's 1 1/2" size standard but you will have to get them on the web or from a plumbing supply house- all the big box stores will have for you is a dull stare which reflects their actual knowledge of plumbing.
