American woodmark-home depot finish problem

My recently deceased father-in-laws kitchen cabinets have a finish problem. Some doors have yellowed, others retain the original frost color - about half of the cabinets have this problem. No rhyme or reason to it - one is fine, the one right next to it is bad. American Woodmark won't honor warranty - claim it isn't transferable - even though deed hasn't actually changed hands yet. Would anyone have any ideas on a quick/simple fix to this type of problem??

Re: American woodmark-home depot finish problem

Sounds like they had a bad batch of wood. I think I would contact a refinishing contractor and see if they could even up the finishes.

I could also suggest painting the cabinets although I don't like the of painted cabinets myself.

Debby - thanks for response- we're looking to sell, sounds like painting cabinets is probably quickest/cheapest option.
