I am installing a new dimmer switch in my basement but the existing wire running to the switch is aluminum.
I'm using AL/CU wire nuts to make the connection. I noticed the copper wires coming from the dimmer switch are tin coated. Is there any issue with using a normal AL/CU wire cap even though the copper is tinned?
The wire nuts I'm using are made by Ideal. Purple caps with corrosion gel inside.
Thanks in advance!
