Alternative basement ceiling

I am in the process of renovating my basement into a home gym and began by removing an old sagging drywall ceiling. I would like to keep the ceiling height I have gained and don't mind an industrial look. Does anyone know if there is a spray-on application or other ceiling alternative besides drywall or a drop ceiling? I am looking for something that will also keep the sound that migrates upstairs to a minimum. Any suggestions?

Re: Alternative basement ceiling

Bump.

I too am looking for a similar product for all the same reasons, as well as "sanitizing" the ceiling (80+ year old building, originally had a coal furnace, converted to oil, now removed) and able to contain/reduce dust and debris from falling.

I did locate this product, which sounds promising....
